At JAX Bespoke we have often fit units that incorporate pull-out drawers on the lower part of the stairs to store smaller items such as shoes, and on the tallest part of the stairs, we can install a unit with a cupboard that has a door. This cupboard can be used to store larger items such as a hoover or an ironing board. By utilizing this back cupboard section, you can keep these items neatly tucked away and easily accessible when needed.

How're under stair storage units made?

After gathering measurements during the site survey, we template the measurements on our custom-made stair rack to ensure the accuracy of each angle before manufacturing begins. Once all the pieces are cut to the correct measurements, they are assembled against the template.

Next, the unit is checked and prepared for transportation. If the customer has chosen to have a sprayed (painted) finish, the external components are transported to the sprayers at this point.

When it's time for installation, the JAX Bespoke team will arrive with your unit ready to be fitted. Usually, the unit is in sections that will be fitted one by one after your existing under stair space is dismantled and removed.

Sizes of under stair storage units

During the site survey, we carefully measure the full length of the staircase. If the entire space is available, we can create a storage unit that maximises your usable storage space. However, in some cases, the under stair space may be partially occupied, for example, by a toilet room. But don't worry, our JAX Bespoke team will make the most of the remaining space to create a custom storage unit for you.

What is included in our starting prices?

Our starting prices include VAT, which is charged at 20%. Additionally, they cover the design, manufacture, and installation of your under stair storage unit, including both labor and materials.The materials included in
our starting prices consist of melamine internals (chosen from our core range - band  A) and the MRMDF externals and
prepped, unpainted flush door/drawer fronts.

What will drive up your under stair storage quote?

The final quote for your under stair storage may be influenced by additional specifications and features that you choose. For example, if you desire lighting inside the unit, this will incur an additional cost.

Other elements that can increase the cost of your under stair unit include adding shaker doors to the design, choosing a specific colour for the unit
externals to be sprayed/painted, and adding additional drawers to your design. As a standard, At JAX Bespoke, under stair storage units are made
with melamine internals and MRMDF externals; however, if you want a different finish, such as natural oak, this will also incur an additional cost as
it is a more luxurious and expensive material. With under stair storage units, the possibilities for customisation are endless, but it's important to keep in
mind that each addition will result in an additional cost to your final quote.

The JAX bespoke team will remove your pre existing under stair space in order to
make room for the new unit, then will then leave the waste on the property for the
customer to dispose of.
